I love food

I am a foodie

That’s if loving to talk about, read about, eat, share, buy, and photograph food means that one is a ‘foodie’

I even married a chef.

Having gestational diabetes in my last pregnancy forced me to learn more about the benefits of eating a high protein, low GI, low carb diet.

I was not happy about having to give up sugar! so I endeavoured to create food that fell into all of the categories above and still satisfied my cravings. Now that the diabetes has gone and I have reached my goal weight a bit of sugar here and there is ok but I will still be experimenting in the kitchen, trying to come up with healthy alternatives.

I think that my dream life would be myself and my husband launching our own brand of small goods and selling them in our own cafe, alongside my very beautiful cookbook.

who knows, watch this space.

Great products that helped me achieve my goal weight and keep my blood sugars in a safe range;

  • Natvia- a natural alternative to sugar   www.natvia.com you can join their ‘sweeter life club’ to get great recipes.
  • Well naturally-  sugar free chocolate    www.wellnaturally.com.au
  • Go natural products                                 www.gonatural.com.au
  • Burgan breads                                          www.burganbreads.com.au

I will be blogging about food, especially my own endeavours in the kitchen but at this point for inspiration only I wont be revealing recipes just yet. I’ll save those for my book. And anyway who’s to say that I couldn’t produce a book for people like me who don’t like rigid recipes and love the photography more than anything! we’ll see :0)

  1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one these days..

  2. Wonderful blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any tips? Bless you!

    • Thank you and I would suggest that you use a free platform to find your feet and then upgrade in theh future, you can get all you need to start up for free. You will need to pay a small amount for a domain if you want a .com etc but just go for it, get your blog out there. Ill look forward to seeing what you do

  3. This is very interesting, You’re a very skilled blogger. I have joined your feed and look forward to seeking more of your wonderful post. Also, I have shared your website in my social networks!

  4. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
